QUETTA : Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced a Rs10 billion assistance package to support security forces and law-and-order efforts in Balochistan during her official visit to Quetta. CM Maryam Nawaz also met Governor Balochistan Jafar Mandokhel and Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, along with provincial ministers and coalition members. Later, she visited the CM Secretariat, where she was warmly received by the Balochistan cabinet and assembly members. Speaking on the occasion, Maryam Nawaz said Punjab would stand shoulder to shoulder with Balochistan in facing security and development challenges. CM Sarfraz Bugti welcomed the support, calling it a positive and timely step.
