Says techni­cal educat­ion can combat unempl­oyment and will equip youth with skills that an employ­er needsQUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has said that the provincial government would focus on the skill development and technical training of youth to build the human capital available to Balochistan. Presiding over a meeting to review the work of the task force on youth and durable development, Kamal called for engagement of the youth in the development process and economic activities for smoother integration into the workforce. “The provincial government is committed to eradicating the extremism factor from society and promoting opportunities in the education sector for the youth and focus on their counselling,” he said. Balochistan ministers Zahoor Ahmed Buledi and Abdul Khaliq Hazara, along with task force members Dr Asghar Ali, Javeria Tareen and Abdul Hadi Kakar as well as the youth development director attended the meeting. “Technical education can play a key role in combating unemployment as it will equip the youth with skills that an employer needs,” he said, adding that their productivity would also contribute to Balochistan’s development and revenue generation.
