CMA CGM implements congestion surcharges in Turkish PortShare This News Story:MARSEILLE : Marseille-based container line CMA CGM will apply new port congestion surcharges (PCS) in the Turkish port of Iskenderun. CMA CGM will introduce a surcharge of US$200 per container for all boxes travelling from Iskenderun to West Africa. Additionally, the French ocean carrier will implement a congestion surcharge of €100 (US$108) per TEU in the Turkish port for all cargo from/to North Europe, Scandinavia, Poland and Baltic. Furthermore, CMA CGM announced a congestion surcharge of €/US$100 per TEU for all INTRAMED cargo from/to the Mediterranean, including Portugal, North Africa, including Morocco, and Black Sea to/from Iskenderun. “Any revision in the quantum of this surcharge related to the evolution of the local situation will be communicated with a 7-day notice,” noted CMA CGM.
