Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the first-ever Medha Divas in Bihar on Sunday, the birth anniversary of President Rajendra Prasad, and exhorted the Centre to celebrate it across the country to promote talent. "We will celebrate Medha Divas every year on the birth anniversary of Rajendra babu. He was a symbol of talent," Nitish said, adding that "Medha Divas" should be celebrated all over the country to mark the first President's birth anniversary, to promote talent, and award talented students. Education minister Krishnanandan Prasad Verma, chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, education principal secretary R.K. Mahajan were present at the programme. He also threw light on how Rajendra Prasad joined the freedom movement during Mahatma Gandhi's Champaran Satyagraha in 1917 and worked continuously with him till India got Independence.
