On Monday, Don Lemon, a news anchor for CNN, announced that he had been fired from the network. Lemon tweeted shortly after his appearance on “CNN This Morning,” the revamped show he co-hosted with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins. “I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN,” wrote Lemon. He was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter.” The chairman of CNN, Chris Licht, released a separate statement, saying, “CNN and Don have parted ways. Don will forever be a part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years.
