A White House official tried to spin a conspiracy fantasy Monday about The New York Times and the Democratic Party colluding on a bombshell report on Donald Trump’s taxes — but CNN host Poppy Harlow wasn’t having it. “I’m just going to stop you there,” Harlow snapped as she cut into a baseless jab by White House deputy press secretary Brian Morgenstern. Trump has called the Times report “fake news” but has long refused to release his returns to prove otherwise. Why will he not do that?”Morgenstern tried to pivot and stumbled badly — but he did not say how much the president has paid in federal income tax.
