The management of the University of Lagos on Wednesday asked students to vacate their hall of residence from Wednesday to 12 noon on Thursday (today). The PUNCH had reported on Tuesday that there was a high influx of students with flu-like and COVID-19 symptoms at the medical centre. Investigation also revealed that about seven students tested positive for COVID-19. It reads, “To check the spread of COVID-19 on campus, the University Senate has directed that all students vacate the halls of residence latest by 12 noon on Thursday, July 15, 2021. No access will be granted to any student after 12 noon on 15 July.
