CPV Central Committee Secretary visits JapanA delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Nguyen Xuan Thang, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee, is on a working visit to Japan from December 24-28. Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs Kazuyuki Nakane presents a gift to Secretary of the CPV Central Committee Nguyen Xuan Thang (L). While in Japan, Thang, who is also in charge of the CPV Central Committee’s Theoretical Council and Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, had a working session with Chairman of the Presidium of the Communist Party of Japan (CPJ) Kazuo Shii. They also talked measures to enhance cooperation between the CPV and the CPJ in the time ahead, focusing on theoretical issues. They looked into measures to promote the Vietnam-Japan extensive strategic partnership, looking towards the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries (1973-2018).
