Addressing a review meeting on the programs of the Social and the Tribal Welfare Departments at the Secretariat on Friday, Mr. Kumar said the social audit would keep a check on corruption and also help in recovering the public money from the corrupt officers. Focus on educationThe CS said focus should be laid on the education of SC youth, whose services could be utilised in the upkeep of the social welfare residential hostels. Steps should be taken to bring down the drop-out rate in social welfare residential schools and hostels, he added. Principal Secretary (Social Welfare) S.S.
