CAIRO-2 April 2021: Cairo will be again under the spotlight as the Egyptian capital will host the Junior and Cadet Fencing World Championships between 3 and 11 April. The bubble system will be applied in the tournament to ensure the health and safety of all the participants amid the COVID-19 pandemic. “We are working closely with the Egyptian Fencing Federation which has done an impressive amount of work. Your life, health and Safety are the main priorities for our federation and for me personally.” Alisher Usmanov, the president of the International Fencing Federation, stated in his letter to the participating nations. The previous edition of the tournament, which was scheduled in USA, was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
