Calgary’s only dedicated zero-waste shop looks to meet growing demand for eco-friendly products

Calgary's only dedicated zero-waste shop, Canary Goods, is set to open in Kensington in February and aims to promote living with less waste while offering reusable and package-free products. The shop will focus on personal care and household cleaning products to start. Even though some shops already offer refill services on a smaller scale, Meyer and Watts collaborated to do something more and create an entire shop dedicated to zero-waste products. The shop will open on the second floor of Blank Page Studios in Calgary’s Kensington neighbourhood. “Just start small and start to fully think about replacing one thing at a time.” Andrew Jeffrey is a reporter/photographer for StarMetro Calgary.
