A balmy Summer turned into Fall and then Winter as the long push towards Berlin continued. The Call of Duty: WW2 Winter Siege Event, coming December 8 at 10 AM Pacific, promises to be less nightmarish. The popular online shooter is getting a winter-themed community event, with a raft of limited time offerings designed to give the whole game a brutal Winter offensive kind of vibe. Winter Siege supply drops will contain new weapons, emotes, calling cards, helmets and more -- players will get free drops weekly, and extra free drops if they're Twitch Prime members. Call of Duty: WW2 is selling well so far, bolstered both by the excitement surrounding the new setting and possibly by the controversies surrounding rival EA's Star Wars Battlefront 2.
