Manufacturers and hauliers are appealing to the government to prioritise the safety of route FT 181. Last week, a motorcyclist collided with a lorry and died on the spot on Muhibbah Bridge at Pulau Indah Expressway, along FT 181. Selangor Container Drivers Association had reportedly dubbed FT 181 as “death road” in view of the rising fatal accidents. The Association of Malaysian Hauliers president Nazari Akhbar had previously highlighted that the cargo route along FT 181 is too narrow. Fadillah also noted that only RM240 million had been set aside under the 11th Malaysia Plan to upgrade FT 181.
