The two communities have been fighting each other over a piece of land for decades. The Deputy Northern Regional Minister, Solomon Boar, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, told GBC’s Radio Ghana in Tamale that calm had been restored. An eye witness earlier told our correspondent, Murtala Issah, that tensions were still high in the area.
