Former vice president Joe Biden’s speech at his Saturday campaign rally was in many ways a paean to days gone by. “I know how to make government work,” Biden said. As it turns out, like many people waxing nostalgic for the past, Biden — and by extension, the rest of us — is engaging in selective remembrances. Or, even worse, they’ll decide to give the nostalgia act currently residing in the White House another four years on the top of the charts.
