CTV is taking Canada AM off the air starting tomorrow, ending the morning show's run after 43 seasons, the network announced this morning. Thomson and Ien will stay with CTV's parent company, Bell Media, while Hutcheson will begin his previously announced retirement. A simulcast of live CTV News Channel programming will air in the time slot beginning Monday. We look forward to building upon the success of Canada AM as we move forward," Randy Lennox, president of entertainment production and broadcasting at Bell Media, said in a statement. A new program for that time slot will be revealed next week, the network said.
