MONTREAL—Formula One driver Lance Stroll says his career in the big leagues is a family affair. Stroll, who scored his first points in the world driver’s championship points standings when he finished ninth in Sunday’s Grand Prix du Canada at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Ile Notre-Dame, was sent away to the Ferrari Young Drivers Academy in 2010 when he was just a boy of 10. He attended the Academy for five years and concentrated on karts and his education. Since then, he has raced in the European F3 championship, the Toyota Racing Series and the Italian Formula 4 Championship and has won championships in them all. Eight years after leaving his Montreal home for Italy, he made the jump to Formula One, the highest form of motorsport on the planet.
