Jacob de la Rose missed practice for the second straight day Tuesday in Brossard and the Canadiens announced he had a “cardiac episode” after the final pre-season game Saturday night in Ottawa and has not been cleared to travel by team doctors. De la Rose will remain in Montreal for ongoing evaluation and will not make the trip to Toronto for the Canadiens’ NHL season opener Wednesday night against the Maple Leafs (7 p.m., SN, RDS, TSN 690 Radio). The 23-year-old de la Rose logged 13:03 of ice time in Saturday night’s 3-0 pre-season loss to the Senators. He’s going to start somewhere and if he does well he’s going to stay. I can’t stand here right now and say I know exactly where he’s going to be and what he’s going to do.
