A Non-Governmental Organisation, Cancer for Enlightenment and Support Foundation, has said cancer is not a death sentence as it can be medically treated. “We should be cautious of what we eat, because this is the most important cause of cancer. “Cancer is not a death sentence; it depends on where you start, how soon you start when you find out traces of cancer,” he said. Adepitan said the NGO had embarked on numerous cancer outreach programmes, whilst extending philanthropic support to cancer patients needing surgery and chemotherapy across the country.
