Ethan Crone was 24 when he was killed in a car crash. A young man, who reportedly “hot boxed” in his car before fatally crashing it, was “robbed of a normal life” by a growing cannabis dependency, his father told a coroner. In a report released on Wednesday, Coroner Marcus Elliott found Crone died from injuries to his head, chest and limbs. Ron Crone told the coroner he had raised his son to love New Zealand’s outdoor lifestyle and he was a hard worker loved by many. NZTA Hayden Mischefski, grandson of Waverley crash victim Ora Keene, features in a video as part of the Unsaid campaign, which aims to increase awareness about drug driving.
