(Jonathan Newton/The Washington Post)The Capitals rank highest in fan satisfaction among five professional sports teams in Washington and the Redskins rank lowest, according to the results of an online survey released Wednesday. While the study also measured fan loyalty and future intentions, as well as on-field performance and team image, those factors were not included in each team’s overall fan satisfaction score. The Capitals’ overall satisfaction index of 797 ranks fourth among the 13 NHL teams included in the study. Power conducted its first Fan Experience Study last year by evaluating the professional sports teams in the four largest markets — Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and New York. Seating area and game experience is one of them and the most important, but it’s not like D.C. United was number one in other areas and just fell short in game experience.
