(Photo by Assawin Wongnokaew)LAMPANG: A woman was killed and her husband seriously injured when their car was rear-ended by a pickup in Muang district on Tuesday night, police said. The violent impact drove the car off the road, seriously injuring the car's driver, Narong Khanchaiyawong, 58, and killing his wife Chaluay, 55, who was in the front passenger seat. The rear section of the car was badly crumpled and the front also damaged. The pickup driver, identified only as Sakchai, 25, was taken to Lampang Hospital for a blood test to determine if he was driving under the influence.
