Prime Minister Mark Carney announced more financial aid for Ukraine ahead of a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Halifax on Saturday. The two met at the city’s airport, where Zelenskyy landed en route to peace talks scheduled with U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday. It also allows the European Bank to offer a loan guarantee of up to $322 million for energy security reinforcement.
