Corporal Caroline Kangongo allegedly killed two men and she is currently at large. A source told Daily Nation Kangogo was part of two crime syndicates involved in extortion, robberies and protection of politicians and businessmen in the vast Rift Valley. Consequently, as one group of rogue officers is baying for her blood, Kangogo is suspected of enjoying the protection officers in the syndicate she belongs to. Nakuru County Criminal Investigations Officer Anthony Sunguti said some of the people the fugitive was communicating with are senior officers and dangerous criminals. What drew the attention of the investigations was how Kangogo left clues all over the crime scene without concealing identity, which was unlikely to a police officer of her calibre.
