Carrie Lam underlines 'challenging' situation in Hubei and the provincial capital, Wuhan. The Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor denied today that her administration was late in organising an evacuation operation for Hong Kong residents in Hubei province, RTHK reports. “We do not feel that we have delayed the return of Hong Kong people stranded in Hubei. Nip said 440 of the stranded residents coming home are in Wuhan, but 93 others are scattered throughout 10 cities in Hubei province. The government previously said that more than 3,000 Hong Kong residents are stranded in Hubei and it planned to bring them back in batches.
