CAIRO-13 March 2021: Zamalek’s new manager Patrice Carteron stated that the team has a chance to reach the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League. “We are in a tough situation in the CAF Champions League competition. The White Knights are third in the group with only two points after three matches and they will face Esperance on Tuesday in the fourth fixture of the CAF Champions League group stage. The White Knights also announced the appointment of the club's former French head coach Patrice Carteron to be Zamalek's new coach. He also led Zamalek to the CAF Champions League semis before announcing his departure from the club before Zamalek's match against Raja Casablanca.
