World Boxing Organization (WBO) bantamweight titleholder John Riel Casimero will be defending his title against ex-Olympian Duke Micah of Ghana on September 26 in a world title fight organized by the Showtime and Premier Boxing Champions at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. International matchmaker Sean Gibbons disclosed to The Manila Times on Monday that the undefeated boxer from Africa would be Casimero’s new opponent. “That’s the one and that’s him,” said Gibbons, referring to the 28-year-old Micah as Casimero’s new foe. He is the most dangerous opponent you can fight, a guy who is coming to win,” added Gibbons of the 2012 London Olympian Micah. Casimero shifts his sights on Micah following the cancellation of his unification bout against Japanese International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Association bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue.
