MONROVIA – The campaign team of Liberia Football Association (LFA) presidential hopeful Cassell Anthony Kuoh Sr. has formally notified the world football governing body, FIFA, of a major judicial intervention that has effectively stalled the LFA’s ongoing electoral process. The Legal StalemateThe ruling was handed down by Presiding Judge Peter Gbeneweleh following a Petition for Declaratory Judgment filed by legal representatives of Mr. Kuoh. “The action is intended to safeguard the integrity, transparency, and inclusiveness of the electoral process,” stated Emmett Glassco, Chairman of the Campaign Coordinating Committee. Meanwhile The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has officially informed FIFA of a court-ordered injunction halting its 2026 Elective Congress, further deepening uncertainty over the country’s football leadership transition. According to the LFA, its Elections Committee has fully complied with the court’s directive and has ceased all operations related to the electoral process until further notice.
