Falling ceiling tiles at a McDonald's in New Taipei's Sanxia District injured three people Monday, according to local reports. Around 3 p.m., tiles fell from the ceiling at a McDonald's on Sanxia's Daxue Road, hitting the fast-food chain's customers and lightly injuring three. Authorities said the injured were sent to En Chu Kong Hospital to be treated for cuts and minor head injuries. Reports said the ceiling tiles were made of wood and not metal. Officials are probing the cause of the dislodged tiles.
