Residents of Auckland's Te Atatū Peninsula say cars park up at the Concourse, Soljan Drive and Central Park Drive in Henderson and play music for hours every week. The repeated playing of Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On, from the 1997 film Titanic, was the most annoying, she said. The woman had complained to police and noise control at least 50 times in the past two and a half years, she said. Noise control spokesman Max Wilde said if a vehicle was being driven on the road, the Resource Management Act did not allow Auckland Council to take action. "If vehicles are stopped at the roadside and are making noise while stationary, noise control officers can attend and can serve notice for excessive noise."
