Democratic Rep. Dan Lipinski narrowly defeated a primary election challenge from an abortion-rights advocate to hold his Illinois House seat. The Associated Press called the race for Mr. Lipinski early Wednesday with 97% of precincts reporting votes. His margin over nonprofit executive Marie Newman was less than 2 percentage points, the AP reported.
