CenturyLink Inc. agreed to extend a ban on its soliciting customers in the Boise, Idaho, area and to appoint an independent monitor after it allegedly violated the terms of its acquisition of Level 3 Communications Inc., the U.S. Justice Department said Friday. Under the terms of the settlement agreement with the Justice Department, CenturyLink will also reimburse the government $250,000 for investigation and legal costs.
