,The Alpha Battery of the Iowa Army National Guard will hold a deployment sendoff ceremony for service members at the Armory at 2 p.m. Aug. 1, 2020. The ceremony in the Armory is open only to soldiers and officials. The public is invited to send off local soldiers immediately following the ceremony by means of a bus escort. The public is invited to stand along the route, socially distanced, with signs and other regalia to show its appreciation for the service members. Some service members have already deployed.
