A study has found that in UK most Christmas jumpers expected to be sold this year are made with plastic. The survey has revealed that almost 95% of seasonal garments are made of plastic. The shoppers will buy 12 million festive jumpers this year in the UK, as per the estimations made by the charity. These Christmas jumpers are described as "one of the worst examples of fast fashion" and such consumer habits are considered as a "major threat" to the planet. Sarah Divall, project coordinator, Hubbub said: "We'd urge people to swap, buy second-hand or re-wear - and remember a jumper is for life, not just for Christmas."
