This month’s address to the Easton Area School Board was unlike any ever given by Easton Area Education Association President Kevin Deely. Deely said he suspects some students have used ChatGPT to write poems for his class. Since artificial intelligence isn’t going away, teachers should help kids learn to use it wisely. School board member Edward Keegan said teachers ought to use artificial intelligence to help craft instruction to meet each child’s specific needs. Artificial intelligence is “educational gold,” he said.
