Firefighters raced to a house fire in Langley on Thursday night. Crews from both Langley and Slough fire stations were called out at about 2.30pm to Stanley Green East. The fire was caused by an electrical fault caused by cheap electrical cables. Occupants were ‘very lucky’ that the fire did not spread – although there was smoke damage from smoke spreading all around the house. Langley Fire Station would like to advise people to purchase good quality electrical charging cables, not to leave them on for long periods and not to leave them on while not in the property.
