The England boss's starting XI for the Round of 16 game against Germany was widely criticised before kick-off, with Southgate accused of being too defensively minded. Against Germany Southgate selected seven defensively-minded players, with three at the back, two deep-lying wingbacks and two holding midfielders. And former England striker-turned-BBC pundit Shearer said he expects Southgate to make further changes against Ukraine, with one of the England manager's first-choice players from the start of the tournament tipped to return to the starting XI. "He has made changes, I think he will go back to a back four, and I think he will bring Mason Mount back in. "Obviously it will be a tough game, Ukraine have done tremendously well too but I think the players know that they have to grab this moment and get the job done.
