Chelsea are set to snub their chance to bring Nathan Ake back to the club during the January transfer window. The central defender left Stamford Bridge for Bournemouth for half that fee back in 2017, and is now set to continue his stay on the south coast. Ake made 17 first-team appearances for the Blues between 2012 and 2017, seven of which came in the Premier League. The news that Chelsea had the chance to bring the defender back to the club would likely have tempted Frank Lampard into making a move, which now looks unlikely.
