Chesterfield: Manager Paul Cook gets two-match ban for abusing officials

Chesterfield manager Paul Cook has been handed a two-match touchline ban by the Football Association for using abusive and insulting language towards match officials around the tunnel and the changing rooms after a game. The incidents came in the match away to Milton Keynes Dons on 4 January in which Cook's side came from 2-0 down to rescue a draw in the 94th minute. Cook was sent off and was alleged to have acted in an improper manner, a charge he denied, but he accepted the other two charges for which he was banned and given a £2,500 fine. The Spireites boss will serve his suspension for the matches away to Salford City on Tuesday (19:45 GMT) and at home to Walsall on Saturday.
