Five people, including a child, have been killed after being run over by a train in Kalihati Upazila of Tangail, police say. The fatal accident occurred around 8pm on Friday near Bridge No. 7 near Dhalatengor under Dashokia Union, according to Sub-Inspector (SI) Mizanur Rahman of Tangail Railway Station Outpost. At that time, several passengers got off and sat on the railway track beside the Dhaka-Tangail-Jamuna Bridge Highway. On information, police from Jamuna Bridge East station and Railway Police went to the spot, recovered the bodies, and started formalities.
