Children who live in cities plagued by air pollution, a high population density, 'unwalkable' infrastructure and have parents who smoke are more likely to be obese, a study has revealed. Heraklion in Greece, pictured, had the highest obesity levels and PM2.5 levels of 20.7 ug/m3Sabadell, Spain, had the second highest obesity levels in the study at 37 per cent. Sabadell, in Spain, had the second highest levels of obesity at 37 per cent, and a PM2.5 level at 23 ug/m3. Of the countries included in the study, Spain and Greece had the highest obesity rates at 43 per cent and 37 per cent.
