China Mengniu Dairy Company (2319) said today first half profits tumbled by 41.7 percent from the year before to 1.21 billion yuan, compared with 2.07 billion yuan in 2019. Revenue fell by 5.8 percent on-year to 37.53 billion yuan. Excluding the business of Shijiazhuang Junlebao Dairy Co., which was disposed of in 2019, and Bellamy’s Australia, acquired in 2019, revenue from comparable businesses was 36.8 billion yuan from 33.71 billion yuan in 2019, up by 9.4 percent. The basic earnings per share were 0.309 fen. China Mengniu did not recommend the payment of an interim dividend.
