People all over China have been celebrating the centenary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC), which fell on July 1. In the first two decades of Communist Party rule, the emphasis was on building a truly egalitarian society and consolidating the territorial integrity of the nation. It was only in 1978 that the U.S. acknowledged reality and established diplomatic relations with communist China. The Chinese economy is projected to overtake the U.S. economy by 2030 to become number one in the world.
