Seven weeks into the face-off between Indian and Chinese troops in Doklam, there has been increased Chinese presence in the vicinity of the standoff site at the trijunction with Bhutan. While the standoff site at Dolam plateau is around 11,000 feet, the ridges in the area are at 14,000 feet. As the standoff site is barely a few metres away from Indian Army posts, the logistics supply chain is much shorter for the Indian side.
