There have been 830 confirmed cases in China of the coronavirus, from the same family of viruses that gave rise to Sars. Chinese authorities say 95 patients remain in a critical condition. The illnesses from the newly identified coronavirus appeared last month in Wuhan, an industrial and transportation hub in central China.
