China’s highest-earning actress Fan Bingbing has been ordered to pay nearly 892 million yuan (about US$130 million) for tax evasion and other offences, the country’s tax authorities announced on Wednesday, over three months after the film star disappeared from public view. The 37-year-old and her companies had underpaid a total of more than 255 million yuan of taxes, including close to 200 million yuan of tax evasion, according to state news agency Xinhua.
