The first session of the World Championship semi-final saw Si Jiahui, a 20-year-old Chinese player, perform incredibly, leading 5-3 against Luca Brecel. Si lost the first frame of the game, but produced excellent clearances of 125, 102 and 97 to win the next three frames. However, Brecel battled his way back into the game, taking the score to 4-3, before Si ended the session triumphantly. Si dived into his game in the second frame, showcasing an impressive 125 break to take the lead at 2-1. Si Jiahui’s lead sets him up as a strong contender to win the World Championship.
