Chip Off The Old Block Hontiveros Commits To DLSU – The Manila Times

CEBU City: After a stellar career here, Isaiah “Ice” Hontiveros has been snapped up by the De La Salle University Green Archers, proving himself a chip off the old block, being the son of former Gilas Pilipinas standout and Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Dondon Hontiveros. The younger Hontiveros will return to the country’s capital to jumpstart his college career in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) with the same school he played for a few years back. He is joining a loaded DLSU backcourt that has Aljun Melencio and Encho Serrano with his mind set on learning and trusting the process. The older Hontiveros said it will be a different environment for his son, and he’s just there to guide him. Promising rookie Gabriel Cometa, who is also from UV, heads to the San Beda Red Lions in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
