Chris Whitty warned the vast range of lockdown changes from July 4 will be a "balance of risk", saying: "It is not risk free - absolutely not risk free. Prof Whitty and the Chief Scientific Advisor, Sir Patrick Vallance, both declined to say they personally supported the lockdown easing measures in England. Prof Whitty was asked if he was personally comfortable with the wide range of lockdown easing measures - which go further than Scotland and Wales. It is not risk free - absolutely not risk free. It cannot be risk free.
