A neighbour heard what might have been gunshots coming from the direction of a Christchurch house where police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman. Emergency services were called to an incident at a house on Avonhead Rd, near Yaldhurst Rd, in the suburb of Avonhead shortly after midnight on Sunday. DAVID WALKER/STUFF Police have cordoned off an area on Avonhead Road, as the possible scene of a homicide. Her death was being treated as a homicide and further information would be released on Sunday, Parnell said.
